RangeFest 2026: A Full Day of Shooting, Family Fun & Community in Bakersfield

Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 19, 2026, because one of Bakersfield’s biggest outdoor community events is almost here. RangeFest 2026, presented by Dirty Bird Guns & Ammo, is taking over 5-Dogs Shooting Range for a full day of shooting, food, drinks, music, giveaways, family activities, and more.

Whether you are an experienced shooter, new to firearms, interested in trying products from some of the biggest brands in the industry, or simply looking for something different to do with the family, RangeFest has something for everyone.

Even better, the event helps support Operation Second Chance, an organization dedicated to assisting wounded, injured, and ill veterans and their families.

When and Where Is RangeFest 2026?

RangeFest 2026 takes place Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 5-Dogs Shooting Range in Bakersfield, California.

Event Schedule:

• 8:00 AM – VIP Entry
• 9:00 AM – General Admission Entry
• 10:30 AM – Opening Ceremony
• 5:00 PM – Event Ends

The opening ceremony will include the Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem, and prayer, bringing attendees, sponsors, veterans, first responders, and Bakersfield community members together to officially kick off the day.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Department is also scheduled to be on-site from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, giving attendees a chance to stop by, say hello, and interact with department members.

What Can You Expect at RangeFest?

RangeFest is much more than a traditional day at the shooting range. The goal is to create an outdoor experience where firearms enthusiasts, families, industry brands, local businesses, veterans, law enforcement, and the community can come together.

Throughout the property, attendees can visit different shooting stations and get hands-on experience with a wide variety of firearms and products.

Expect opportunities to shoot:

• Long-range and precision rifles
• Shotguns and sporting clays
• Specialty firearms from participating manufacturers

RangeFest will include shooting opportunities ranging from pistol bays to rifle targets reaching out to approximately 325 yards, along with shotgun clay stations and dedicated precision and magnum shooting areas.

Many participating firearms and accessory manufacturers will have representatives on-site, giving attendees an opportunity to experience their products in a way that simply isn’t possible by looking at them online or behind a gun counter.

You don’t have to spend the entire day on the firing line to enjoy RangeFest.

Throughout the event, you’ll find food, drinks, music, vendors, activities, and plenty of opportunities to hang out with friends and family.

A DJ and live broadcasting from KUZZ will help keep the atmosphere going while attendees explore sponsor booths, check out firearms and gear, grab something to eat, participate in activities, and enjoy the event.

RangeFest is being built as a family-friendly community event, so even family members who aren’t interested in shooting can still come out and enjoy the day.

The event will also include youth-friendly activities and additional attractions.

Get Hands-On With Firearms Before You Buy

One of the best parts of RangeFest is the opportunity to actually experience products from major manufacturers.

Choosing a handgun, rifle, optic, trigger, suppressor-compatible platform, or other firearm component can be difficult when your only experience with it comes from photos, specifications, or holding it at a gun counter.

At RangeFest, participating manufacturers and sponsors give attendees an opportunity to see products in action.

You can compare different platforms, experience different calibers, try firearms you may have never fired before, talk directly with knowledgeable representatives, and learn more about the products you’re interested in.

For new shooters, RangeFest is also a chance to experience different types of shooting in a controlled range environment, with proper safety procedures and equipment in place.

Support Operation Second Chance Through the RangeFest Raffle

One of the biggest parts of RangeFest 2026 is our charity raffle benefiting Operation Second Chance.

Right now, the RangeFest raffle prize lineup has a combined value of more than $23,000, and the list continues to grow with incredible prizes donated by our sponsors and supporters.

Prizes include firearms, optics, outdoor products, training, gift certificates, accessories, and more.

One of the largest contributions comes from Vortex Optics, which donated approximately $14,550 in optics, including a Vortex Razor HD Gen III valued at nearly $4,000.

Other raffle prizes include a Q Sugar Weasel, a Benelli Montefeltro 20-gauge shotgun, a Savage and Leupold rifle-and-optic package, an American Off-Road kids quad, Daniel Defense products, firearm training, gun belts, gift certificates, and more.

Raffle tickets are $10 each, and you do not need to be present at RangeFest to win.

Supporting Operation Second Chance

At the center of RangeFest is a cause that means a great deal to everyone involved.

Operation Second Chance assists wounded, injured, and ill veterans and their families. Through community support, fundraising, and events like RangeFest, the organization can keep helping veterans when they need it most.

A portion of the RangeFest raffle proceeds will directly benefit Operation Second Chance, so every raffle ticket purchased supports that mission.

VIP and General Admission

Both General Admission and VIP tickets are available for RangeFest 2026.

General Admission gives attendees access to the event and includes shooting safety equipment such as eye and ear protection, along with event swag and other attendee benefits.

VIP guests receive early entry beginning at 8:00 AM, along with access to the VIP area, additional perks, upgraded swag, refreshments, additional tickets, a VIP raffle, and priority shooting opportunities.
