Do you ship firearms directly to customers?

Federal law prohibits the direct shipment of firearms to customers. All firearm shipments must be sent to a licensed Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer, who will then facilitate the transfer to the buyer after completing the necessary background checks and paperwork.

How do I find an FFL dealer near me for my firearm shipment?

On the Product page and during checkout, you’ll be prompted to select an FFL dealer in your area. You can provide their information later if your preferred dealer isn’t listed. You must contact the chosen FFL dealer to ensure they will handle the transfer. The dealer must provide us with a current, signed, and dated copy of their FFL. Once we have the necessary FFL documentation, we will process your order. The firearm will be shipped to the address listed on the FFL. After the FFL dealer receives the firearm, you must visit them to complete the transfer. This process includes filling out ATF Form 4473 and undergoing a background check via the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS). Once approved, you can take possession of the firearm. Approval times may vary by state. For example, some states will be instant, and others may have to wait at least 10 days.

Do you ship internationally or to U.S. territories?

We ship firearms and ammunition nationwide in the U.S., following federal and state regulations. Firearms must be shipped to a licensed FFL dealer. Ammunition shipping is restricted in certain areas like Alaska, Hawaii, and New York City, and some states require delivery to an FFL or additional permits.
States that require additional permits/documents for ammunition are:
-Connecticut
– Massachusetts
– Illinois
– New Jersey

What is the process for purchasing a firearm in a different state?

Purchasing a firearm in a state different from where you reside involves specific steps to comply with federal and state laws.

Here’s how it works:

Choose an FFL Dealer in Your State of Residence:
Firearms purchased out of state must be transferred to an FFL (Federal Firearms License) dealer in your home state. This ensures that the firearm complies with local laws and that the required background checks are conducted.

Place Your Order – When purchasing online or from an out-of-state dealer:
– Provide the FFL dealer’s information during checkout or notify the seller of your chosen FFL.
– The seller will ship the firearm to the FFL dealer you selected.

Complete the Background check. Once the firearm arrives at your FFL dealer:
– Complete ATF Form 4473 (Firearms Transaction Record).
– Pass a background check through the NICS (National Instant Criminal Background Check System).
– If your state has additional requirements, such as permits or waiting periods, you must meet them before you can take possession of the firearm.

Verify Compliance with State Laws. Some states have specific restrictions on firearm types or features:
– California, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Massachusetts: Firearms must meet state compliance requirements (e.g., specific safety features or bans on “assault weapons”).
– Check whether your state has magazine capacity restrictions or additional registration requirements.

Take Possession of the Firearm:
– After passing the background check and fulfilling all state requirements: Pick up the firearm from your local FFL dealer.
– Bring a valid government-issued photo ID and any required permits.

Important Notes:
– Handgun Sales: Handguns can only be transferred to your state of residence.
– Rifles and Shotguns: Long guns may be purchased out of state if the laws of both states are followed.
– Shipping Restrictions: Some states may require additional documentation or have shipping bans for specific firearms.

Do I need an FFL to purchase firearm parts?

You generally don’t need an FFL (Federal Firearms License) to purchase most firearm parts. Components like upper receivers, barrels, stocks, handguards, and triggers are not classified as firearms under federal law and can typically be shipped directly to your address. However, if your part includes a serialized lower receiver or a firearm frame, it is considered the actual firearm under federal regulations. In these cases, you must complete the transaction through an FFL dealer.

When buying serialized parts, they will be shipped to an FFL dealer of your choice. Once the part arrives, you’ll need to visit the dealer, complete a background check, and follow any state-specific laws before taking possession of the item. It’s also important to be aware of local and state laws, as certain states may have additional restrictions on firearm parts or features.

Firearms Parts and Accessories

Can I buy individual components to build my AR-15 from scratch?

Yes, you can buy individual components to build your AR-15 from scratch. Many enthusiasts choose this route to customize their rifles to meet specific preferences, such as performance, aesthetics, or budget. Most AR-15 components, such as the upper receiver, barrel, handguard, stock, trigger assembly, and bolt carrier group, can be purchased online or in-store without restrictions and shipped directly to your home.

However, the lower receiver is the one exception. It is the serialized part of the firearm and is legally considered the “firearm” under federal law. To purchase a lower receiver, you must go through a licensed FFL (Federal Firearms License) dealer, complete a background check, and comply with any additional state or local requirements. Building an AR-15 allows for complete control over every aspect of the rifle, from its caliber and barrel length to its stock and handguard. Before starting your build, familiarize yourself with local laws, as some states restrict certain features or configurations.

Do you offer assistance with AR-15 assembly or part compatibility?

Customer’s can send an email to [email protected] with any questions and we will direct it to the appropriate team to assist.
