With one of the most advanced barrels out there, you probably assume there is a secret to the formula. There is no secret to this process. Only honest, American Machining. We gun drill each barrel individually with proper bearing honing guides, back-taper and nose geometry drills that guarantee a straight, true precision hole, part after part. Even after using the honing pads on the gundrill, we use a roller burnishing process that smooths the highs into the lows for a work hardened 8 micron finish. Employing innovative technologies to ensure the integrity of each product before it leaves our shop is the core of Live Free Armory’s manufacturing.
