The Springfield M1A SOCOM 16 CQB with Hex Dragonfly 3.5 MOA red dot is a modern, upgraded, semi-automatic version of the legendary .308 battle rifle designed byJohn Cantius Garand. The heart of the SOCOM 16 CQB is a 16.25″ 6-Groove Carbon Steel barrel with a 1:11 twist tipped with a compact, proprietary muzzle brake to reduce muzzle flip and perceived recoil. Target acquisition comes through an XS tritium post front sight and rear ghost ring sight with a .135 aperture. A forward scout style Picatinny rail provides a place for magnified optics although this model comes with a factory mounted Hex Dragonfly red dot for lightning fast close quarter target acquisition. Three smaller forward rails provide ample room for weapon lights and other accessories. The Archangel® CQB composite chassis with AK style pistol grip features an adjustable stock for proper shooting ergonomics. The M1A SOCOM 16 CQB brings the legend of the M1A into the 21st century.
