The Mod 4 charging handle features a reinforced, medium-length latch, optimized for fast manipulations with smaller optics. The extended latch features an aggressive, non-slip front face that makes palm blading and other rapid charging motions fast and effective at getting your rifle back in the fight! To survive this hard use, the latch has been redesigned to redirect the force away from the roll pin (which has also been beefed up over OEM options) and into the hearty forged aluminum body.

The original M16 charging handle can bend and break at the worst time when when you’re running your rifle in a hurry. To prevent this, the VLTOR charging handle upgrades the material to high-strength 7075-T6 aluminum. It’s even finished with a MIL-SPEC grade Type III Class 2 hardcoat anodized finish.
