It comes standard with a 1/2″x28 thread pattern that will fit most AR-15 muzzle devices, M4 feed ramps, a medium cut barrel profile, and a 1:8″ twist rate with button-cut rifling (the 1:8 twist rate means the bullet makes one complete rotation every 8″ inches while moving down the barrel). NOTE: 416R is a Crucible brand steel and it was formulated specifically for barrels. Most types of steel, including normal 416SS are not designed to be used in freezing temperatures. But this steel was designed to operate in arctic temperatures, up to -40F. 416R also has greater accuracy potential than normal 416SS and 4150 steel due to its ability to take highly defined rifling and machining cuts.
