*NOTE: Even though you are looking at 1/2×28 TPI brakes or flash hiders, you must be SURE that you get an AR muzzle device that is made for a 9mm (Or larger) bullet to travel through it because trying to shoot a 9mm through a .223 muzzle device will not end well.

NOTE: 416R is a Crucible brand steel and it was formulated specifically for barrels. Most types of steel, including normal 416SS are not designed to be used in freezing temperatures. But this steel was designed to operate in arctic temperatures, up to -40F. 416R also has greater accuracy potential than normal 416SS and 4150 steel due to its ability to take highly defined rifling and machining cuts. 416R Stainless steel has a 12-14% Chromium content. Generally, any steel with 13% or better Chromium is considered “Stainless”, so 416R could be considered non-stainless depending upon batch.
