Would avoid BLEM items.
"Ordered two of these safes. According to the item description, "These safes are previous returns that have been function checked and confirmed to be in working condition." I do not believe this to be the case. One of the two safes came with a key, some stick-on foot cushions for the bottom of the safe, and two bolts for the back of the safe. The key does not open the safe. The safe is locked. The safe does not have batteries. There is no manual but we luckily found one online. This quite obviously was not confirmed to be working unless the test was to determine its efficacy as a paperweight. The other of the two safes came with a silica packet and the safe itself. There was nothing else in the box. The foot-cushions were adhered to the bottom of the safe. Fortunately just enough battery was left to attempt the default code to unlock the safe. Inside the safe was the previous owners' gun safety lock, a packet of silica gel, and a battery pack that you can use to plug into the front of the safe to gain access. There was no key to open this safe. There was no manual. There were two small random bolt-ish things that slide directly through all of the holes. I believe the key is a requirement for function so while we were lucky to get into the safe and while it is missing parts that may not be needed to function, I would argue that omitting to confirm the presence of a functional key means that this safe was not function checked and confirmed to be in working condition as indicated in the description for this product. We returned to safe number one and used the external battery pack noted above from inside safe number two to gain access after putting 4 new AA batteries in the pack. The default code was no longer set up on this safe. Fortunately the previous owner was weird and set their code to 1111. Inside the safe was the foam and more squishy pads for the bottom. The supplied key still does not work for this safe. The door to hold the batteries in is missing. There is no external battery pack for this safe. I think support may be AI. I contacted the company by phone and the message for orders placed online said to talk to the chat. The chat spent a lot of time thinking and researching. Then they requested a photo of the missing pieces. That was weird. I'm vaguely grateful that I purchased two so I could ease my mind and make the product vaguely work but also I've now wasted 2 hours trying to do so which really makes me wish I'd understand the extreme risk in purchasing what I thought was a functional item with a scratch. I'm really hoping I can return these two paperweights. Pictured: (1) Safe One and what was in the box, (2) The inside of Safe One once we had the backup battery pack from Safe Two to access Safe One, (3) Inside of safe two (that one didn't have anything else in the box except a silica gel packet)."
