Built specifically for mil-spec ammo and our 556 TAKE DOWN

This upper has been specified and put together specifically to run our 556 TAKE DOWN suppressor with minimal blowback and to run reliably in a dedicated suppressed fashion with mil-spec ammunition. This upper was designed to meter at about 140 dB at the shooter’s ear and at the mil-spec muzzle position.

It is available as either an SBR upper or we can permanently pin the 556 TAKE DOWN to the barrel to prevent the requirement of a registered SBR lower. With the front-serviceability of the 556 TAKE DOWN, this combination can still easily be maintained and repaired.

The DSU is available with either the Aero M-LOK float tube, or the hybrid version with Picatinny rails at the front. For mounting flashlights, etc, at the front, the Picatinny version is recommended as the M-LOK backers will most likely contact the suppressor.

An H4 buffer is recommended for compatibility with all ammo types.
