Present Arms ARHOOK 

The folks at Present Arms call their AR Hook a “third hand” because holds your AR-15’s upper and lower receivers apart so you can remove the bolt / carrier group and access the bore from the breech. As we’ve so often said, cleaning from the breech is the RIGHT way to de-gunk the bore without dinging the muzzle with the cleaning rod.

To use the AR Hook, you simply remove your AR-15’s takedown pin, leave the pivot pin installed, and hinge the upper receiver open. Insert the hook of the AR Hook into the upper and lock the bottom of the AR-Hook into the lower using the takedown pin. Now, there’s no way the upper/lower can move or snap shut, and both of your hands are free to operate the cleaning rod.
