*NOTE: The .223 Wylde is a mix of the 5.56×45 NATO external chamber measurements and lead angle, but also utilizes the tighter .224″ free bore diameter of the .223 Remington cartridge for better accuracy potential. As we all know, you could not fire 556 NATO ammo in a .223 Rem chamber due to the pressure differential and slight chamber size differences. The .223 Wylde solves this issue and gives the shooter the best of both worlds.
