The Mossberg JM Pro 5 Shot is a special reduced capacity version of the regular JM Pro. This particular model features a magazine tube which has been crimped and plugged in order to accept a maximum of 4 shotgun shells in the tube and 1 in the chamber, hence the name 5 shot. The barrel is 24″ long with a vent rib and a nice fiber optic front sight. The stock is synthetic and features a ton of adjustments including the length of pull, drop at comb and the cast. The primary redesign was the 940 gas system which allows for faster more reliable cycling with much greater intervals between cleaning. This shotgun is built to hold up to the rigors of competition at the highest level, if it wasn’t up to the task Jerry Miculek certainly wouldn’t attach his name and reputation to it. If you need a gun that shoots as good as it looks then you have found the right one, the Mossberg 940 JM Pro 5 Shot, it is just what Jerry ordered.
