Crimson Trace’s Heavy Recoil Optic (HRO) was designed for larger rifles, and comes standard with a wide array of Crimson Trace exclusive features. It features a durable construction of a 6061 Series Aerospace Aluminum housing, a recessed window to protect the lens from damage, and an innovative top strap design to deflect force in the event the optic is dropped. The HRO utilizes Crimson Trace’s own CT MOTION Sensor, which instantly activates the optic when movement is detected. This means the HRO is always at the ready, and eliminates the need to fumble with buttons. The HRO also features an Automatic shutoff that deactivates the optic after 8 hours on inactivity to conserve battery life, as well as a manual shutoff function. Other features of the HRO include a sizable field of view for maximum situational awareness, and a 2 MOA reticle promotes enhanced accuracy at close to mid-range. In addition, the HRO features a full co-witness height for use with iron sights, and a side battery access slot allows the batteries to be changed without having to remove the optic from the host weapon.
